We recently completed an addition and a total remodel of our house on Lake Shafer.  Prior to starting the project, we began researching local contractors.  We talked to several contacts we had become acquainted with through other projects and heard a recurring comment.  "If you want the best, go with the Downey brothers'!  I contacted Ryan and we arranged our first meeting.  From that initial meeting we knew we wanted to go with Downey Construction.  As Ryan reviewed our project, developed the quotes, and made recommendations he made us feel like they were real partners in our project.  It took a while for them to work us into their busy schedule, but It was well worth the wait.  During this time we stayed in contact and made choices on things such as siding, windows, and roofing.  From the moment they actually got started on the project we knew we had gone with the right company.  Ryan, his brother Trent, and their entire crew are great,  They are all extremely talented, professional and very courteous.  Also, Ryan and Trent are not just names  on the business.... they are there everyday working!  The project turned out beautifully.  Everything they did was above and beyond our expectations.  They took an aged "cabin" and turned it into a beautiful "home". Ryan was one of many contractors we interviewed for the renovation of our lake house, and the only one we felt confident with in making our vision come to life. He and his team carried out all phases of the renovation with attention to detail and high quality workmanship. Downey Construction was the General Contractor for our new home built and finished in 2019. My wife and I were very impressed with Downey's workmanship, selection and management of subcontractors. Ryan was excellent working with our designer. He was critical to the success of designing and building our modern dream home. Downey has the highest integrity and work ethic of any business we've every worked with personally and professionally. We feel our working relationship went well due to Downey and us communicating well. Expectations, educating each other on ideas, followups and resolving issues meeting everyones expectations. Downey Construction did a complete remodel of our basement bathroom. They consulted with us very closely about the design to insure that the finished bathroom would turn out exactly how we had imagined. They showed up on time every day and did a fantastic job of cleaning up before they left at the end of the day. They completed the project in a very timely manner. We love our new bathroom! I would recommend Downey Construction to anyone looking to build new or remodel existing homes!
